About Me
Hello! My name is Brigette and I am the founder, author, and illustrator at Little Cav Books. I was raised in a diverse city in Southern California. At an early age, I composed songs and began writing skits and plays for school classmates. Following my graduation from college, I discovered teaching. Subsequently, I earned a teaching credential, then a masters degree in multicultural education.
My focus has always been my students. Using a variety of techniques to enhance curriculum, my fondness for teaching became a driving force to educate inner city youth. My experience in improv comedy allows me to think on my feet. I create raps and songs to support children through complicated skills.
After 27 years of teaching, I am excited to expand my love for education by writing children’s books.

Our vision at Little Cav Books is to create stories that will focus on characters with distinct backgrounds and unique life experiences. All children deserve to see themselves in the stories they read.
Our First Book
Tori and Jeff have been friends since Kindergarten. They always dreamed of performing in front of a crowd. In second grade they started "The Rap and Dance Crew".
